to great achievements

That’s why Aethesis invests energies and resources in polypropylene treatment innovation. With over twenty years’ experience, we use this complex fibre to create DHtech’s highly performing fabrics. The result is a selection of unique materials which show outstanding characteristics in terms of breathability, comfort, lightness, permeability and abrasion resistance, ideal for any sports apparel application.

A great made in Italy product which combines attention to physical comfort and unique designs, due to its specific texture. From everyday activities to sports at a competitive level, DHtech’s collection guarantees maximum output with minimum worry, in order to help athletes stay focused on performance.

POLYPROPYLENE POLYHEDRAL FIBRE,
GREAT PERFORMANCES.

Your best partner

When you practice sports, the best ally is a light, quick-dry fabric, able to wick moisture away from the body and minimize annoyance due to cold and sweat. Compared to natural fibres, polypropylene shows all these characteristics, but its high costs and the problems connected to production processes limited it use in sports apparel market.

DHtech’s researchers have overcome these limits: thanks to a delicate treatment at low temperatures, today polypropylene is the main fabric of our range. A revolution in sportswear, now accessible to all.

discover the new dhtech 400

DHtech 400 plays a key role in the development in DHtech’s polypropylene manufacturing process. During high-intensity activities under harsh conditions it offers the insulation of wool merged with lightness and softness.

Through further test and researches, we designed a revolutionary tubular structure, which guarantees breathability and insulation at the same time: DHtech’s warmth combines with this air gap, and its natural antibacterial properties enhance hygiene, even during the most challenging performances.

  • The two layers of DHtech 200 fabric give the greatest amount of warmth to the body
  • The thermal bridge links the upper layer with the inner one, increasing their insulating properties
  • The air gap creates a breathable barrier, which wicks away moisture and keeps your skin warm and dry

HOW IT WORKS AN INTELLIGENT FABRIC
FOR SPORTSWEAR.

Non stop performance

DHtech 400 conforms its action according to the body different reactions to weather, environmental conditions and internal factors. When physical activity causes an excessive sweating, the fabric releases moisture keeping your skin dry. And when you stop, it reduces heat loss by uniformly distributing heat. This is why it is suitable for stop-and-go sports.

Tailored sport

A different answer to every sport. By diversifying the parts of the body, every article of clothing made with this specific woven fabric can be designed and optimised according to tailored technical standards.

THE BEST SOLUTIONS.

INDOOR STATIC TEST:
22° C

Infrared thermography

We’ll see in detail the responses of DHtech 400 and wool to different conditions. For our performance tests and quality assurance tests we sewed a shirt made of wool (right part of the body) and DHtech 400 (left part of the body). Analysis was carried out in both passive and active conditions, in outdoor and indoor environments. You can notice how DHtech 400 (proper left) provides greater warmth than Merino wool (proper right), proving its insulation.

OUTDOOR STATIC TEST:
05° C

Infrared thermography

You can notice how DHtech 400 (proper left) provides greater warmth than Merino wool (proper right), proving its insulation.

OUTDOOR ACTIVE TEST:

BREATHABILITY

Keeping sweat close to your skin can threat your performance. That’s why we design a second waterproof breathable skin: it keeps out rain and snow, while wicking away moisture.

ECOLOGY

Ecological thinking

Technology and sustainability play a key role in DHtech’s philosophy. Our fibres, which are solvent and acid free, are dyed with solid additives and woven at low temperatures, reducing pollution, dangerous emissions and textile dye wastes.

Our collection offers stretchable, non-allergenic and long lasting fabrics: more quality, less waste.

ADVANTAGES

DHtech’s benefits

Choosing DHtech means selecting a product that ensures the highest quality standards.

The particular manufacturing of our fabrics combines the advantages of polypropylene to the ductility and comfort typical of elastomeric fibres. This is how we create versatile sportswear able to satisfy athlete’s needs, ensuring distinctive and stylish outfit at the same time.

A SECOND SKIN TO EMBRACE EVERY CHALLENGE

DHtech 100 is non-allergenic fabric with a particular textile structure which helps to release vapour and maintains body’s steady temperature. For its extreme lightness and seamless design, it is highly recommended for breathable and comfortable workout underwear.

DHtech 100 is perfect to make base layers garments, but it also can be used as a single layer during warmer seasons, as it helps to keep your skin dry both in high-intensity and low-intensity training.

EXTREME
DHTECH’S
ADVENTURER:

Danilo Callegari

Danilo Callegari has been travelling the world since 2008, looking for extreme adventures face-to-face with natural forces. To date, he has carried out 10 missions successfully, visiting some of the most inhospitable places on earth.

His mind’s resources are rationality and awareness. His ace in the hole are training and Dhtech’s sportswear.

Between October 2018 and February 2019 those elements led him to succeed during Antarctica Extreme, a challenge which redefined human limits in the coldest and most sterile environment on earth: the Antarctic.

Danilo was the first man who completed these three mission in the Antarctic at the same time:

  • Touching Geographic South Pole
  • Parachuting
  • Climbing the highest mountain

He was also the first man who reached alone and independently the Geographic South Pole.

Average physiological parameters at different altitudes

Under 1.000 m.a.s.l. atmospheric pressure varies from about 750mmHg to 600mmHg while at 8.000 m.a.s.l. it varies from 380mmHg to 230mmHg.

Under 1.000 m.a.s.l. average temperature varies from +20°C to +0°C while at 8.000 m.a.s.l. it varies from -20°C to -45°C.

Under 1.000 m.a.s.l. a healthy individual gets always an oxygen saturation level of 95%, while at 8.000 m.a.s.l. this percentage decreases at about 65%.

From 0 to 1.000 m.a.s.l. VO2max (that is in other words the maximum rate of oxygen consumption measured) goes from 100% to 95%, while at 8.000 m.a.s.l. is around 10% - 15%.

Further information about the climb

It took about six days to reach the base camp or BC located at 4.400 m.a.s.l., passing through valleys characterized by the presence of wild rivers and thick forests.

  • Camp1 o C1 at 5.700 m.a.s.l.
  • Camp2 o C2 at 6.400 m.a.s.l.
  • Camp3 o C3 at 6.900 m.a.s.l.
  • Camp4 o C4 at 7.400 m.a.s.l.

This place is at the border of the death area. Its name is due to the fact that above this altitude acclimation is no more possible. Moreover, there’s a physical and mental decline, and the only way to recover is to descend. Once C4 was set, Danilo climbed at 8.163 m.a.s.l., before coming back.

Africa Extreme

Summits Solo Project

Danilo Callegari was also the main character of the incredible adventure “Africa Extreme 2015”. During the third part of the “7 summits Solo Project”, the Friulan mountaineer and explorer defied unexplored limits.

Team

As this challenge required particularly hard training, a multidisciplinary team of experts trailed Danilo Callegari: from Doctor Giulio Roi, director of the Isokinetic Education and Research Department, to the ex-Italian champion of swimming Marco Bellino; from the nutritionist Antonio Benedetti, to the Indian yoga master Raju Paithankar.
